Program Overview
FNS Docket Judge: Honorable Noah E. Powers II
What is the FNS Docket?
The Felony Non-Support Docket is a Community Control Sanction. FNS strives to reduce the number of Felony Non-Support offenders that are sentenced to prison. Its purpose is to facilitate collection of court-ordered child support and to ensure that offenders pay child support and receive services to address their specific needs to encourage the same, while promoting public safety.
The FNS team works closely with the following agencies: Job and Family Services, Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA), Community Behavioral Health/Day Reporting, the Adult Probation Department, and the Butler County Court of Common Pleas. Services provided in conjunction with the program include Fatherhood classes, job assistance, case management, and substance abuse counseling, if needed.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, an offender must meet the following criteria:
- be convicted of Felony Non-Support;
- have a current child support order (not arrears only); and
- live in Butler County, or, if living in a surrounding county, have reliable transportation.
Who is on the FNS team?
The FNS team consists of the Judge, the Magistrate, an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, the Specialty Courts Program Director, Probation Officers, a Representative from the CSEA, the Program Manager from Community Behavioral Health, an Employment Liaison Case Manager, and the Director of Counseling/Intake Coordinator from the SOS Hall.
